Age 68, killed by Eritrean troops while he was patrolling around his neighborhood in Wukro Marai, Tigray on Nov 19, 2020.By the time he learned the troops were approaching towards his hometown, he was escorting people especially the youth to stay safe inside their homes saying "ኣጆኹም ክሓልፍ እዩ", translates to stay strong, this shall pass too.Amare was a vibrant father and hardworking farmer who made his way up to change his family's life, together with his wife raised very successful children.
