Tigray Archive is created in memory of our beloved TEGARU (People of Tigray), who lost their lives during the war declared on Tigray on Nov.4,2020.
An unfortunate start in documenting our history but a necessity to its validity that can be challenged with the passing of time due to an absence of reliably written evidence.
Tigray Archive is an independently owned online resource created to raise awareness of the Tigray War. Established in December 2020, the website offers students, researchers, and the general public, information that is easily accessible, and well referenced. These resources are provided to the public to broaden awareness and attain wider recognition.
Our mission is to promote awareness of the Tigray Genocide by collating archival materials and making them more accessible to the public.
Use this site to find primary sources and document-based information related to the Tigray War.
Paint " En Plein Air"
Depiste the draifull and depression month due to the Genocide in Tigray the Togetherness of Tegaru is what kept our sanity intact and helped us focus on helping our people.
No matter what we are human and some days are difficult to deal with. To heal our brain going through a traumatizing time we decided to gather and hear each other out while stimulating our creative mind to relieve our Mental strain and immerse ourselves in the Forest Air.
To see all ages engaged in our Paint “En Plein Air” activity and truly enjoying spreading paint with their brush made us understand this was truly what our people needed. A soothing,comforting and calming activity overall a Therapeutic activity to heal our minds from the most hurtful pain and the ongoing sorrow.
Yesterday’s event was very successful! It hit the goal of creating a platform to help Tegaru in the diaspora ( in the DMV area) express their pain through brushes, networking and hearing each other,a comfort Zone to be Tigraway and express their feelings loudly.
All while raising funds to support their people back home.
We were able to raise $5125 to support Haben Tigray and HPN4TIgray
