Journalist Dawit Kebede Araya Dawit and his friend Bereket Berhe were killed by a barrage of bullets from Ethiopian troops while driving in Mekelle earlier this week.

Gebremedhin Hiluf A 2019 graduate with a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Weldia University. After his graduation, he worked as an Engineer in the Mekelle textile manufacturing industrial park owned by Bangladeshi entrepreneurs.

Getachew Tewolde 26 years old, killed by the Ethiopian soldiers. He got beaten to death with beer bottles. He was falsely accused of supporting the Tigrayan forces.

Luel Berhe He died due to a lack of medicine in the hospitalon May 05, 2021. He was a lecturer of Computer Science at Mekelle University, Tigray

Mama Letebirhan Abraha Gebray Died due to a lack of medicine in the Ayder Hospital, Mekelle. She is the mother of Tigrigna artist Rahel Haile.
