Dawit Gebreegziabher Girmay

He is a victim of the recent illegal detentions of ethnic Tigrayans in and around Addis Ababa. He was arrested from his house in Addis Ababa, Teklehaimanot, on 11 November 2021 based on his Tigrayan ethnicity and without any criminal charges. Mr. Dawit is a 2020 graduate of Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Engineering. He was born in Ahiferom (Enticho), Tigray, but grew up in Addis Ababa. He got murdered by the Ethiopian security agents on 28 November 2021 in Metahara, Oromia.

Tesfay Weldemariam

36 years old victim of the recent illegal detentions of ethnic Tigrayans in and around Addis Ababa. He was arrested from his house in Addis Ababa sometime in November 2021 based on his Tigrayan ethnicity and without any criminal charges. He was detained in the Mizan Tepi concentration camp along with hundreds of other Tigrayans until he died from a lack of medicines inside the prison on 12 January 2022, in South West Ethiopia Peoples' Region.

Hadush Gebrekirstos Girmay a Tigrayan businessman who got murdered inside Kaliti concentration camp on 04 December 2021 by Ethiopian security agents. Mr. Hadush was arrested from his house in Addis Ababa on 19 November 2021 based on his Tigrayan ethnicity and without any criminal charges.

Tesfaye Woldemariam Tesfaye was desperately ill in jail for two weeks, a fellow prisoner said. When staff finally took him – feverish and unconscious – to Mizan Tepi University Teaching Hospital, he could not be saved from the malaria and meningitis that sickened him, said Dr Gizaw Wodajo, the hospital’s medical director.

Gebregziabher Gebremeskel 24 years old, young man was seriously ill with cerebral malaria when he arrived at the hospital two weeks after his release from jail. He died 10 days later. The doctor, who asked not to be named, said Gebregziabher must have been infected in prison since the disease isn’t present in the capital and takes between a week and a month to incubate.

Tsigereda Grmay She was stabbed to death on 31 January 2022 in Arbaminch.

Tsegay Nega He is one of the Tigrayans who got burned alive in the Benishangul-Gumuz region of Ethiopia.

Lieutenant Colonel Kiros Gebreyohannes Gebru Members of the Ethiopian National Defense Force served in a UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan.Ethiopian security forces took him in a patrol car and shot and killed him about 30 kilometers from his residence in a place called Kebena Sugar factory in Awash Arba, Nov. 3, 2021.
